This is a 1950 American film written and directed by Billy Wilder, starring Gloria Swanson,William Holden, Erich von Stroheim and Nancy Olson. The title of the movie comes from large road running between Los Angeles and Beverley Hills, California. The movie was nominated for eleven Academy Awards, winning only three. It is said to be one of the most iconic film in the category of film noir (a genre of film marked by a mood of pessimism, fatalism, and menace). Id the movie.
